Unfortunately, a wandering mind is an unhappy mind, causing emotional costs and decreased levels of happiness. However, being fully engaged in the present moment is the best indicator for happiness. Meditation is not just a practice that we do; being present, even when we are doing something that isn’t enjoyable, can help us become happier. Meditation helps increase our neuroplasticity, and understanding which kind of meditation is best in any given moment can help us gain even more benefits.
