As I read your “Teaching Trans” piece I came to the part where you said you told your principal after receiving advise from an employment attorney. Is this not a “grand pronouncement”? I ask because I am unsure, no judgement. I had planned on informing my admin that I request that pronouns (she/her/her’s) be acknowledged when addressing me. Is that a ‘grand pronouncement’?
