Advantage: when a powerful man looks at another man with my credentials, he helps him. He promotes him. They help each other.

Disadvantage: When a powerful man looked at me with my credentials, he hit on me. I have dozens of odd and random stories. When I’ve said no, it is often taken as a slight, and I am either ignored or disparaged. It makes you scared to even approach powerful men. There have been countless of similar stories in both startups and venture capital. Do you follow this space? They are pretty bad.
