Marketing funnels needs to be part of the arsenal of any marketer worth their salt. For those that are new to online marketing please let me explain in a simple way what a funnel is about.

Say you see an offer online that you want to get, maybe it’s a free eBook or a course etc. for this information you will give your email and name and when you do this the goods are delivered. Following this would be an email from the company would be sent to your inbox and now you would be on the companies email list.

Why do you need a funnel?

You need a funnel to promote your business or service. There are some people that have joined an affiliate company and told, “all you need to do is to send traffic to this page and you will get paid.” They make it sound easy here is why you never send traffic to a company page.

People have seen the company page hundreds of times and will not take action to add their email address, as they know what the promotion is about already. They develop what is called is ad blindness where the ad has lost its effect.

For example you can have a main product or service and could have a number of affiliate products in the funnel so you can get income from a number of different sources.

WHAT YOU NEED

A good funnel will need a capture page with eye-catching headline to entice the person to click on the ad. Great graphics on whatever you are promoting and an email follow up campaign to engage and encourage people to continue to market to.
