Today’s: Some Good Designs
The Apple of Eyes Design
Bike Rental System

In recent years, big cities like New York are trying to encourage their citizens to use bike as their transportation tool, like Copenhagen or Amsterdam, that they can not only reduce air pollution but also enhance their citizen’s health. However, this plan also adds on the planning for parking spots in the city-scape. Here is a very cool way how we can incorporate the bikes into our city.
This design idea is beautifully blended into the city-scape visually. And while the spot is not in use, it could potentially become another leisure space for people- maybe the parking bottom can be higher so it can be served as a sitting place for people to sit on it while they are waiting for their bus.
The Turn-Gold-Into-Green Design
Music Festival Toilet Design

Music festivals often produce a huge waste for the environment. However if we are all going to drink and use the restroom anyways, why don’t we create something to turn “gold” into “green”? Our waste provides nutrition for plants. The only con is that it might produce bad smells if the pipes do not send the waste down deep enough. But still a clever idea!
The Friendly Corner Design
The City-scape Design

This design is often used in a major city corner so people will not bump into each other when they walk by a corner. I read about this in Jan Gehl’s book and have never noticed and appreciated it before, although people have used this design for centuries. I am surprised that a lot of modern buildings do not have this design, but the story of bumping into your romantic partner in NYC is still very possible.
