I think a great trick is to combine your plan for the day with Pareto’s principle; i.e., try to figure out what three things you might do this day that will deliver 80% of the accomplishment value for the entire day.

Sometimes it’s just as simple as working on creative projects that matter to yourself, rather than some other boss or buddy.

Putting all these together will certainly make a difference.
