Summer vacations are going to end and after few days the same routine of your kids is going to start. Same was in my case so I decided to take my children to some Hill station in Pakistan.

I went to Murree, a mountain resort town located in the Galyat region of the Pir Panjal range within the Rawalpindi district of Pakistan. It is the most popular tourist station.

I would like to share with you that most beautiful and memorable trip. Apart from beautiful trip, the purpose of writing this content is to tell you how healthy environment helps a healthy life.

A healthy life begins with a healthy environment:

The right to a healthy environment is the right of every person to live in an adequate environment.

The deterioration of the environment affects our health. The health problems caused by air and water pollution resulting from the nearby plants have been well documented.

There is a saying that humans are a product of our environment. So why don’t we bring some focus to cultivating an environment that sets us up for success in our health goals?

It’s easy to underestimate the power of our surroundings, but passive cues from our environment have a big influence on our daily decisions. Recognizing the ways our environment shapes us takes pressure off us to behave perfectly 100% of the time. Instead, we work within the confines of the situation and do our best to make sure our surroundings facilitate positive behaviors.

Healthy change is always needed:

So it is better to visit some nearby places where there is less pollution and healthy atmosphere.

It will boost your overall mood and energy.

Our living environment can have a huge impact on our long term health and the way we feel in our daily lives.

Breathing polluted air can seriously affect your health. From watery eyes to coughing to serious respiratory problems, pollution puts a real damper on your health and well-being.

It’s much more enjoyable to stay active when you’re breathing clean air. Check out these ten simple things you can do to play a part in keeping our air clean and healthy.

At Home

  1. Avoid using chemical pesticides and fertilizers as much as possible. Many of these products emit nitrous oxide, which is a greenhouse gas.
  2. Limit use of gas-powered tools like lawnmowers and leaf blowers — even small engines pollute.
  3. Avoid burning wood unless it’s your only source of heat.
  4. Grilling? Consider using a natural gas or propane grill instead of charcoal or wood.

On the Go

  1. Walk, jog, bike, or use another form of active transportation whenever possible. You’re doing yourself and the environment a favor.
  2. When driving, “chain” your trips together to reduce travel time and emissions — drive to the farthest destination first. Consider carpooling and car-sharing programs for routine commutes.
  3. Don’t idle. If you’re going to be parked longer than you’d be at a stop light, turn off your vehicle.
  4. Get to know your local mass transit system. Using buses, trains, and streetcars is a great way to reduce the number of vehicles on the road.
  5. In the market for a new vehicle? Factor fuel efficiency and emission estimates into your decision.
  6. Don’t fill up your car at the hottest time of the day. Filling up your car in high temperatures increases the amount of ozone released into the air.

Health Benefits:

· When I had visit the hill station few days back, I found myself very fresh and rejuvenated.

· I had no signs of worries or any kind of pressure that we all encounter in our daily lives.

· So for a change one should go somewhere to spend some quality time with friends and family.

· Through this practice you will get rid of all kind of worries, depression and other life stressors.

· A healthy environment helps human being to grow and develop naturally.

Building playgrounds:

Communities can make a difference by building and beautifying playgrounds where each and everyone can enjoy.

By doing this we can make our country safe and healthy for all people including children where they can play and realize their full potential.

Mental Health:

Mental health is an important part of health. And of course there is no health without mental health.

It is determined by socioeconomic, biological and environmental factors.

Mental health is a state of well-being in which a person can be realized, overcome the normal tensions of life, perform productive work and contribute to the life of his community.

Mental health issues are also associated with unhealthy lifestyle.

Residential crowding (number of people per room) and loud exterior noise sources (e.g., airports) elevate psychological distress but do not produce serious mental illness.

Malodorous air pollutants heighten negative affect, and some toxins (e.g., lead, solvents) cause behavioral disturbances (e.g., self-regulatory ability, aggression).

Insufficient daylight is reliably associated with increased depressive symptoms. Indirectly, the physical environment may influence mental health by altering psychosocial processes with known mental health sequelae.

Personal control, socially supportive relationships, and restoration from stress and fatigue are all affected by properties of the built environment. More prospective, longitudinal studies and, where feasible, randomized experiments are needed to examine the potential role of the physical environment in mental health.

Even more challenging is the task of developing underlying models of how the built environment can affect mental health. It is also likely that some individuals may be more vulnerable to mental health impacts of the built environment. Because exposure to poor environmental conditions is not randomly distributed and tends to concentrate among the poor and ethnic minorities, we also need to focus more attention on the health implications of multiple environmental risk exposure.

So healthy environment plays a very positive role. Being in a good mental health makes you feel good about yourself.

It allows you to enjoy the joys of life and try new things.

Several factors influence a person’s mental health and the physical and social environment is among those factors.

The physical environment such as the state of the place of residence or the quality of the neighborhood and the social environment for example, the quality of relationships established with family, friends and the community.

Change your Habits:

However you can change your habits and take certain steps to keep yourself in good mental state.

Participate in leisure activities that you enjoy.

Go out to visit beautiful places with your friends and family members in order to feel healthy and to get rid of stress and stressful environment.

Take deep breaths, exercise and take time to relax to decrease your stress level.

It is important to be active and do some physical activity throughout a day. Get involved socially and participate in different social activities when you have the opportunity.

Social engagement plays a big role in strengthening your mental health.

A Healthy environment-Greater productivity:

A healthy environment, greater productivity and a better atmosphere can all are beneficial at all levels.

Improve your quality of life yourself in different ways.

We cannot survive without a healthy environment. How we interact with the environment is important.

When juggling work and family life, finding the best family holiday to suit your needs can be a difficult task. But once you decide, that would be a most memorable trip of your life.

Create a summer of blissful memories that would surely provide your family with endless entertainment.

Look for perfect destination where you can truly feel safe and fresh.

Go for a beautiful peaceful location in nature surrounded by mountains.

As I arrived there in Murree, I felt a deep sense of calm. I felt comfortable as soon as I reached there and would recommend you all to visit it at least once.

Maintaining health and fitness is not a simple task, however not so tough too.

Physical activities along with the proper nutrition are really very beneficial to people of all age groups.

Healthy environmental change will increase energy level and self esteem.

Reduces potential of being depressed.

In order to get great results in all the areas of our life, we need a healthy and active body as well as a sound mind.

Love yourself enough to live a healthy lifestyle.

The best investment you can ever make is in your own Health.

Take care of your body. It is the only place you have to live in.
