At five in the morning, in an open place near a railway track, there was a 13-year-old boy making candle threads which are used to make candles. He helps his father, Candle threads are made with the help of a semi-automatic machine while the rest of the process is manual. “Candles products, people used to light home regularly, when power was uneven. Now, phone flashlights and inverters have become the light source during power cuts. Candle business was tedious for the last 5 years. We got fewer orders from candle making shops during Diwali, and Christmas etc.,” says Sahil.
