Libya: Supreme Council of Elders Call on Arab League for strict measures against Turkish intervention

Erdogan has continued to send mercenaries and former members of terrorist groups into Libya to support the Tripoli-based Government. This action has received condemnation from Libyans and the Libyan National Army has intensified efforts to defend the Libyan territory.

The Libyan Council of Elders released a statement where it reiterated its support for the Libyan National Army (LNA) in its fight against armed group and Extremists and called on the African Union, the United Nations and the Arab League to immediately intervene to stop Ankara.

The council specifically called on the Arab League to hold an emergency session to discuss and condemn Turkey.
