I was skeptical at the beginning of the post, but by the end I was sold that this is a reasonable potential timeline. The only thing missing IMO is the influence of non-robot AI (eg. personal assistants, like Google Home or Alexa). I suspect it would undercut the low-level “white collar” jobs that can be reasonably automated, much like current robotic automation has done with many manufacturing jobs. That being said, I think that would simply push more people in to exactly the scenario you propose — bionic enhanced physical labour.
