Bear in mind 2 things-The mythology and goddesses were created by a patriarchal male culture where females had virtually no rights. Second -any goddess embodying wisdom and war reveals the dominant thinking of patriarchs .In truth to be wise AND to embody war is a total contradiction- impossible madness.No feminist icon could ever represent war -the destruction of human life and values and wastage of the planet, driven by greed domination and patriarchy itself. Sylvia Pankhurst-unlike her sister and mother -understood this and opposed World War 1 whilst they joined in and promoted the 1914–18 war effort.
