FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics is a non-profit organization that aims to inspire students to pursue careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields. The organization hosts annual robotics competitions for students at the middle school, high school, and university levels.

The competitions involve teams of students designing, building, and programming robots to compete against other teams in a game that combines elements of sports and engineering. The games change each year and are designed to be challenging and exciting, while also teaching important STEM principles.

The teams are mentored by engineers, scientists, and other STEM professionals, who provide guidance and support throughout the design and build process. The teams also have the opportunity to network with other students and professionals in the STEM field.

FIRST Robotics competitions are not only about winning, but also about inspiring students to pursue STEM careers, fostering teamwork and collaboration, and promoting gracious professionalism. The teams compete against each other in the tournaments, but also help each other on and off the field.

The organization also provides various scholarships and grants for students who participate in the program and are interested in pursuing STEM careers.

Overall, FIRST Robotics is a great way for students to learn about STEM fields, develop important skills, and have fun while doing it.
