IA#5: The Monuments Men Reflection

1. The Monuments Men helped the USA gather/retrieve art that was stolen by the Nazis. They started the program to save our culture because art holds a great amount of culture. Even in just one piece. There were men killed during the retrieval of the paintings and sculptures. That is how precious these artworks are to them. They thought that it’s selfish for the Nazis to steal artworks that was meant for the future generation.
2. It’s amazing how the film was made because the attention to detail is just close to perfect. Even the actors did a great job in portraying the people they are meant to portray. Overall, the film was very well made.
3. If the Philippines had Monuments Men, many artworks would have been saved from the bombings of the Americans and the Japanese. If these artworks were saved, we would still have lots of art that boasts the culture of our country and we’d all be culturally educated.
