ChatGPT goes Certified: AWS — GPT-4 UPDATED

Some months ago I played a little bit with ChatGPT and the AWS Certifications. I don’t want to spoil the results of the experiment, so in case you didn’t read the previous article, please read it before read this one: ChatGPT goes Certified: AWS.

In that experiment ChatGPT was running on the LLM GPT-3.5. Now that the GPT-4 model has been released, I’m updating the results from my previous experiment. Let’s see if this new version of the model is as good as good as it looks like!

Quick reminder of the ground rules:

  • We want to know if ChatGPT is able to pass any of the AWS certifications exams. As all these exams are proctored, we cannot use ChatGPT live while doing them, that’s why we will be using the sample exam questions that AWS makes available. We will be entering each of the questions into ChatGPT and checking if the answers are correct or wrong. Once completed all the questions, we will be checking if the overall score reaches the minimum passing score of each exam.
  • The results for the AWS Certification exams are reported as a scaled score of 100–1000. The passing score for the Foundational exam (Cloud Practitioner) is 700. For the Associate-level exams the passing score is 720. And for all Professional-level and Specialty exams the passing score is 750.

Let’s go for it once again!

The outcome

CLF-C01: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
