Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and AMD have various programs for artificial intelligence (AI) development.

Amazon:
It is worth mentioning that Amazon’s net revenue reached $6.7 billion in the second quarter of 2023, marking the company’s best quarter since 2020. Andy Jassy, the CEO of Amazon, stated that:

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has strengthened its position in the cloud storage industry with a suite of AI-powered services. These services, including training and executing models (Trainium and Inferentia chips), make it much easier and more cost-effective for companies to customize large language models (LLMs) for building AI applications (through the Bedrock programming interface) and improve coding efficiency using “CodeWhisperer.”

As a result, Amazon has recently made significant advancements in the field of AI. For example, they have launched the $100 million “Generative A” fund through AWS.

Meta (formerly Facebook):

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, has announced that his company has invested billions of dollars in AI infrastructure and used it to improve recommended posts and user interactions on the Facebook social network. He stated that AI-powered recommended posts grow rapidly in the Facebook news feed. Zuckerberg continued:

Meta has partnered with Microsoft to open-source their latest large language model, “Llama 2,” making it available for both research and commercial use by other developers.

Microsoft:

The company’s revenue in the second quarter of this year was $56.2 billion, growing 8% compared to the previous year, with a significant portion attributed to AI. Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, stated:

Every customer I talk to asks me how they can leverage next-generation AI and be aware of the opportunities and challenges it presents.

Apple:

Although AI has never been a major focus of Apple’s keynote speeches, Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, has stated that AI and machine learning are “core and important technologies” that exist in “almost every product.”

He mentioned that Apple has been researching generative AI, such as “ChatGPT,” for “years,” and after careful preparation, they will use it responsibly in their products. This claim aligns with the new capabilities of iOS (such as AI-powered anomaly detection).

AMD (Advanced Micro Devices):

Lisa Su, the CEO of AMD, referred to AI as a multi-billion-dollar opportunity and announced that customer participation in AI has increased sevenfold in recent quarters. She expects new AI data center chips to be released by the fourth quarter of 2023 and to leverage the growing demand.
