Don’t stress about trying to churn out an overblown, old-school-MBA business plan that takes up 60 pages and has a complete appendix. In fact, I would try to keep your plan as short and sweet as possible.

Universities teach students about this big and huge book full of business hypothesis.
I agree with you, that startups need to have a document that they can share with their shareholders, team and potential investors to show they business vision.
The Lean Canvas i think is a great tool, to show everything about your business. Maybe its too short.
I think a 10 pages document is great! But we shouldnt call it Business Plan or people will reject ti as soon you tell them to write it. That word is anchored as a negative thing.
Maybe you could invent a new name for that document and see how people react to it.
