Kids success factor in school can be determined by the amount of effort parents put in his homework. They will eventually perform better at school if they are confident enough about what they have learnt is right or not. Helping them doesn’t mean solving problems or doing their work for them. There are a lot of things you can do to encourage them do it and help them determine it’s importance.

It’s not necessary that every child will have a positive impact in following same routine for doing homework. You never know if one of the child wants to do it at the table, the other one might enjoy doing it at the yard or lawn. It is not necessary to set same timings for each child similarly since every child is different. You can in fact take their take on this.

Below are some activities you must be doing to help your child without actually doing their homework for them.

1) Set a routine :

Planning is very important at every age and step of life. You initiate a plan and then execute. Similarly, set a routine with proper timings and period of time for him. Crate a framework and lay emphasis to get their work within it.

2) Involve yourself :

You should know that getting involved and staying active with your kids education is extremely important. Let them do what and how they do it, you just have to examine to make sure you know where they stand. Make sure you provide them with the resources required to do the work.

3) Ask them to keep calm and carry own:

Some children get through an emotional breakdown easily and get emotional while doing it. Sometimes all they need is a hug and some motivation from your side. Listen to them without saying anything and let them say what they want to. They might get started with what they feel they won’t be able to do. Our words lay a strong impact on a child’s personality.

4) Limit Distractions:

When it’s the homework time, make sure you minimize stuff that distracts them while doing their work. Be it t.v, music, radio or other kids playing nearby. An appropriate environment for doing homework is necessary for a child.

5) Time it:

You should know that there are three basic timings for homework. First is when they come home that is immediately after the school, after a short nap which is in the evening or before dinner and after the dinner. You can also ask from him what he wants. Let him choose so that he don’t have any excuse about it later.

6) Don’t solve questions:

Homework helps teachers’ pay a check to where they stand and determine their level. It helps them what efforts they might need to put into one’s learning and where he needs a little of more focus in order to perform his best. Solving questions for them will make teachers assume he is getting everything right which could later effect his ability to perform well in exams.

7) Create notes:

Creating notes and learning from them is an excellent source of learning. Writing notes help them absorb things and create an outline of important stuff. Handwritten notes are a great way to learn things your own way and it should be of habit.

Kids generally follow a routine and they perform well if they stick to it. Homework is a home-school connection which reinforces skills and help children refresh what they have learnt in school. It’s a practice session of what they have learnt. Therefore, it is very important to make sure they give enough importance to it. Make sure it’s fun and they don’t take it as a burden.
