Look at the ingredients in donuts and you find nothing there that cannot be metabolized and burned off by healthy activity — walking, moderate exercise or quickly passed through the body and out with the addition of healthy probiotics such as live culture yogurt, a member of the dairy family you chose not to mention while railing against butter and milk. Donuts DO have a lot of sugar — which in a sedentary person will be stored as fat but in a healthy active person such as a nurse who has been working for hours, it is a non-caffeine energy booster that again her body will quickly burn off.
