It’s good to have these broad reiterations of technology change in everyday life primarily to maintain awareness of the widening gap between the worlds that people inhabit. As change moves exponentially the difference in perception and language can become mutually incomprehensible. I wonder what the old man who had never seen Google maps thought as he suddenly had a world changing experience. That’s the gentle version. Politically we’re starting to see worlds collide. . .
