No, but the inherent corruption in a disintegrating political system is not the issue now. That is background noise that needs to be dealt with but is a cost of doing business. We are not dealing with politics (even political corruption) at the normal level for this society but an escalation to organized crime at the national level by What has become the Trump Party.

This produces open and continuous minorities, all members of the society, attacks on the judicial system and the Constitution. This is the quest for totally personal power above all and those that have decided to bet their lives on the chance of sharing, again personally, in that power.

This can be seen as the collapse of an empire into the constant warfare of battling warlords. In the post modern world the power to dominate a region and its populations are totalitarian in scope. But this is not possible to the mentalities of the people so focused on personal power.

For them everything must be personal and nothing outside of that has any status. That is a far cry from taking home some pens from the office or using your influence to get someone a job interview. It’s the difference between felonies and misdemeanors.

We are being asked to accept international extortion as bargaining and crimes against humanity as political positioning. No.
