You make a good point but I think the entire structure of the Enlightenment world, including Hobbes, and the construct of capitalism as the “invisible hand” is effectively gone. These ages are all based on specific metaphorical assumptions about the planet and the world as we come to see it. All of this is about the current phase shift or paradigmatic change that is moving us into the unknown. Elements of the previous order will survive but in new relationships and as part of a new overarching metaphor. We just don’t have a handle on that yet.
