Advertising has come a long way in recent years, and social media and search platforms are now key players in the world of advertising. However, with this comes a whole host of advertising policies that need to be followed. This post is a quick guide to help you understand these policies and what to do if you’re having issues with them.

The main issue I see is with Facebook’s advertising policy. If your ads are being rejected or your account has been suspended or shut down, the first thing I always tell people is to make sure they have read the ad policy. It’s important to follow the policies and community standards that Facebook has put in place. You may not agree with some of these policies, but it’s their platform, and they make the rules.

It’s also worth noting that some industries have special ad categories. For example, if you’re advertising for employment, credit, or housing, you must make sure you select these special categories when building out your ad on Facebook. If you don’t, your ad will likely be rejected. Within these special categories, there are restrictions on how you can target your audience. For example, you can’t narrow down demographics too much; your targeting must be more broad.

If you’re still confused about whether your product or service falls under the advertising policies, or you’re not sure how to get your ad to go through, don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d be more than happy to take a look and offer my opinion. You can also contact Facebook support for assistance.

In conclusion, always follow the advertising policies of the platform you’re using. Facebook is an amazing platform that allows you to do great things, but they make the rules. Make sure you’re familiar with the ad policy, and take a quick 15–20 minute read. If you still have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to support or a trusted expert.
