It seems to me you are using that old technique of ‘we all agree of course that…’ and it is pretty transparent that you are not getting the real essence of Trump’s appeal at all. You maintain: ‘ Donald, on the other hand, just says whatever is crossing his mind at that moment, much of which is nasty, degrading, and untrue’ Really? You call this mature political debate do you?

Trump appeals to ordinary thinking Americans because they are totally disenfranchised from the political process, ignored and bullied into adopting the neo-liberal platitudes, and Donald is simply speaking on their behalf. People are sick of being molded into the liberal ideal-which has become the Actual face of American Fascism! The neo-liberal narrative has co-opted parts of industry, certainly civil services and promoted this relativistic ideal of angelic tolerance for all, but the objective is not angelic at all. Uniformity of thought, mediocrity, shame and guilt are the only qualities the neo-liberal ideal offers people, Trump is calling a halt to this and people in their millions are saying-Yes. Your cute angle on ‘internet authenticity’ is without validity.
