What would be the most useful thing for me to know about you as a student?
I enjoy writing even though grammar is not my strong suit.
What do you wish was different about school?
I wish I could delve into courses directly related to my major, but unfortunately I’ve been taking classes like Bio and Stats.
Describe a moment in school last year when you felt really engaged. Why do you think that moment was such a positive one for you?
When I won an Executive Position for my Sailing Teams Exec Board. I think that position really got me involved with something new and exciting. Also, every day its teaching me something new about leadership and communication.
What do you think teachers think about you, and what do you wish they’d think about you?
Some teachers can think I’m being either lazy or not engaged, but I wish they knew more about my personal life and daily struggles.
Tell me about a teacher who you feel knew you well. What kind of student were you in his or her class? What did he or she do to get to know you?
Jennifer Harpham was my Communication Toolbox Class Professor. I was able to show my humor and creativity in her class unlike any other class I’ve taken at Marquette. She was super helpful and understanding to each student’s needs.
If you could build a school, what would it look like?
I’m not sure but it wouldn’t look like Marquette. (Olin, McCormick etc. are architectural catastrophes)
What do you wish I would ask you so that I can be a good teacher for you?
Just ask me how my day is going. I’ll reply truthfully.
What makes a weekend day great for you?
A great weekend day for me is a day with not a lot of responsibilities. However, I like when I have plans to fill the day out.
What is your favorite song right now and why?What is your favorite song right now and why?
This Must Be the Place by Talking Heads because it reminds me of my childhood. My parents would always play new wave 80’s music and it just kinda stuck with me.
