While COVID-19 was changing the world and the way we do business forever, another incident was rocking the technology boat pretty hard.

On July 29th, lawmakers were set to face the chief executives of the tech industry’s four most powerful players: Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple (a.k.a. “GAFA”). The US Congress gathered more than 1 million documents to support his case against the tech giants accusing them of antitrust and monopolistic behaviour.

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Apple’s Tim Cook, and Google’s Sundar Pichai all laid out their defense strategies in a public hearing that provided tons of food for thought. …

Over the last year, for reasons that are not related to this article, I had the chance to drive many different cars. My beloved Ford Fiesta, my father’s Volkswagen Fox, my brother’s Peugeot 206, a very battered Chevrolet Cobalt (never trust Hertz), a couple of Mini Cooper, a couple BMW 1 Series, a Citroën C3 Cactus, and a few more that I’m forgetting about.

I was sitting in a 1-ton machine with the power to kill other people, without reading or listening to one single instruction, and nonetheless, I was able to drive the thing flawlessly in seconds. …

El equipo de Tienda Nube viene creciendo de forma vertiginosa en los últimos meses, sobre todo a partir del segundo semestre del 2017, en el que recibimos una fuerte inversión para continuar acelerando el e-commerce en la región.

Esta inyección de capital nos permitió casi duplicar el equipo, y a la vez poder servir a cada vez más clientes, con necesidades cada vez más diversas.

Todo este crecimiento adicionó una capa de complejidad a la hora de planificar, ejecutar y comunicar. Y fue en el medio de ese cambio que nos dimos cuenta de que algo estábamos haciendo mal.
