Rachel Madow (sic) brought up the question of Trump replacing special prosecutor Mueller. She said, he could do that, but replacing Mueller with someone to his liking would require Senate approval unless he makes the appointement when the Congress is in Summer recess. McConnell kept the recess from going into effect once already to stop the Democrats from (I foget what). Would he do the same to stop a Trump appointment without Senate approval?

I’m thinking Trump will not fire Mueller for fear of the repercussions such a brazen act of power grasp would have on him. And, McConnell I would hope has enough spine to keep the legislative session open if need be.
