Why You Need To Move Away From Your Home Town

I’d even expand that to your home state, depending on what state you’re from. I’ve lived most of my life in Texas, even though I wasn’t born here, and while the last 15 years of that have been spent in Austin, away from the city I grew up in (Dallas), it’s still hard to escape your past. Perhaps it’s just a weird Dallas to Austin connection, but I feel like the only way I could truly escape my past is to leave Texas altogether, which I may be doing soon thanks to a potential opportunity in the Bay Area.

That being said, I completely agree with you.
