Lindt Excellence 85% Dark | Mike Cocoa Chocolate Tasting | Episode 7

Hello and welcome to another episode of this chocolate tasting show!.

A few weeks ago someone on twitter recommended me to get any Lindt chocolate and I’ll be amazed for sure. I went on a hunt and found a Lindt 85% Dark chocolate.

At first, I did a little research about the company and they have a lot of information on their corporate site showing that they have been doing a lot of work to show the public how they have been obtaining their cocoa, taking care that it doesn’t involve illegal child labor, also developing programs in Ghana to help their cocoa farmers get better living conditions and fight their way out of poverty.

Then that gave me a little bit relieving and I proceeded to the tasting.

With a smell that can perfectly describe the dream of a chocolate lover, at the first moment, I felt more curious about it.

The thing that amazed me the most on this bar is the strong flavor of cocoa on it, at the first moment I felt something that resembled black coffee, as the flavor evolved I felt the bitterness more, but not any creaminess (I love creamy chocolates). Besides this bar was not typical for me it was quite a challenge to unfold its mysteries.

At the end, I was able to felt some nuts on last remains of the chocolate.

I gave it 7 points out of 10 and for those of you that doesn’t know in my scaling system, means: “A good chocolate bar, good flavor, creaminess, and smell. I definitely would buy it again and would recommend it”.

As always if you have any suggestions for the next tasting I’ll be happy to try to make it happen just give me a comment!.
