Journey to the ends of Design
Hello,
I always start off formal and then I break it down, which is what I will do right now. I am a graphic designer. By heart. However I realised how much I need to learn in order to become a graphic designer by practice. I am starting this blog to try and structure my thoughts and hopefully (and not so egoistic) help anyone who is walking the same path or is just curious what is this, a graphic designer?
Graphic Design
You see it everywhere, good, bad, mediocre. It’s all there, bare for the world to see. This is the modern heraldic of trading guilds, political powers and individuals. Put in simple words, graphic design is visual identity. Every time you look at a logo of a company or label of some product you are peering into someones head, a bunch of peoples heads actually. “Designing identity” is one of the phrases we designers use to praise what we do in front of others when it usually is more of a, we copy someone’s identity into what we do.
Since colourful commercials, moving images and catchy flyers are all around us, we seldom realise that this is something that people spend years of their life learning or have just delved into it. Graphic design is an art you can relate to and information you can reach effortlessly. So, of course it takes years to learn and master. There are many branches of graphic design. Interface, User experience, interior, web, print, billboard. We have created a vast network to try and survive in this progressive and digital age. I will cover how dependent graphic designers are on the market and how these dependencies create a spiderweb like network in my next post. My goal for now is to introduce my profession, my passion and myself.
Let me start again,
Hello,

Mike Daks Design
nice to meet you, do you feel like you know me better?
Okay, not better. However you know something more about me now.
I like triangles.
Virtually, digitally, physically. We represent people, goals, ideas and ideologies.
If you ask me, I do visualise identity. I hope I see you here soon, come for the images or for the links I will share, or maybe to have your identity imprinted and replicated with graphical images.
See you later
/Mike
