Is that research reliable – I wonder if limiter parents are simply more likely to detect and report on those troubles?
I’m not a limiter parent (I admit to feeling guilty about it though – I wonder if my children do you have too much screen time) but I do recall seeing lots of research summaries concluding that increased screen time was associated with developmental problems later.
But my biggest concern when I compare the lives of children today to my life as a child, is the lack of freedom that children experience now. The freedom to be outside all day, to roam where-ever they wish, to bicycle great distances, to explore the wilderness. To take their own risks.
