chalk jot (formerly ‘teaching note’)

Creativity will save everything. Everything. Student engagement, your interest in your teaching practice, grading papers… Yes, even grading papers. The more creative you are the more magnetic and engaging everything is for everyone. Again, simply something I’m just now seeing after ten years of adjuncthood.

Try it… Write a new story for yourself as a teacher. Be creative. Be wild. Enjoy the results. As teachers, we should always insist such of ourselves. We should enjoy class as much as we hope the students will.

And, it’s not so much about “saving” anything, but more so speaking electric life into your work. Have your teaching speak for you in a way it never has. The key, and code, and consistency with any teacher hoping for more from their job should be CREATIVITY.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
