047: Am I Smart Enough?

I am a one man band. As in, I don’t fit in. I have always marched to my own drum without trying to. I just do and think differently I guess. I think I am of average smarts, but when it comes to perception and problem solving situations I am confident in my abilities. I have common sense, quick wits and pretty good street smarts, but I think I may lack success smarts or how to make a living working for yourself smarts. I am superior at giving my knowledge and answers away for free. I’m so talented I even have people asking me for free advice so they can pass it on to their clients. I’m like the Old Faithful of valuable insights and the Mother Teresa of helping those in need. I’m not a saint or a martyr, I think maybe I just suck a little at entrepreneurship. Dumb is an adjective that also comes to mind when I think of my self-promotion and marketing tactics. But I am a positive person so I usually turn that around into do as I say not as I do. Remember, I am a one man band. I thrive on my uniqueness.

Am I smart enough to make it on my own terms? Absolutely.

Am I smart enough to listen to myself and be the change I seek? I’m getting there.
