Books are a great example of how VR/AR can be used to enhance education.
AR could be useful for readers if for no other reason than reducing distractions while they read, blocking out both audio and visual distractions, especially for those on the ADHD spectrum. Perhaps curving the need for prescription drugs at a younger age.
Top that with engaging 3D content that enriches and educates, and each book becomes a sort of mobile classroom/laboratory. Endless possibilities.
