Boy, you sure don’t know a damned thing about liberal ideals, but only a Fox-news, right-wing echo…

So…would you support the right of a gay Baker refusing service to a straight person? How about the right of a conservative student to push for the banning of a speaker that espoused views such as yours which would likely repulse him/her?

The point of the article was to posit that capitalism by and large has proven that it provides more good for more people than any other system. You can whine all you want to the contrary, but it won’t change that fact. It harnesses the drive, enlightened self-interest and inherent goodness of people and channels it into the greatest wealth-creating force on Earth. Yes it’s imperfect, but no such perfection exists in the world nor will it ever.

You complain loudly about wealth inequality and the “1%,” while simultaneously agitating for an even smaller group to “make things fair.” Amid your caterwauling you completely miss the point that your system leaves all of our fates in the hands of power-mad people that can force their way on us at gunpoint. Silly fools. I’d much rather take my chances with a private business that depends on the continued voluntary goodwill of its customers than on a government that can ram it down my throat with the police power of the State.

The bakers are indeed free to serve or not serve anyone they please, for any reason at all. It’s a PRIVATE business, much as that concept may surprise you. As for public institutions, if they can’t do anything that offends anyone, then they can pretty much do nothing at all.

You enjoy freedom, but you want it on your terms. Here’s my deal…you are free to do and say whatever you want, so long as it doesn’t harm anyone else. And — here’s the kicker — you don’t get one nickel of my tax money to do it.

By the way, your avatar seems a perfect representation of what I’d imagine someone who writes the things you do would look like. Good choice!
