John Boehner ripped into Ted Cruz at an event at Stanford University Wednesday night, by referring to him as “Lucifer in the flesh,” and saying he “never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”
Boehner made the remarks when asked for “frank” comments on those in the presidential field. He didn’t hold back when discussing Cruz, and reportedly making a face when asked about the Texas senator who’s challenging Donald Trump for the GOP presidential nomination.
As our team has been assessing our World today, we were surprised by the reports of the US Vice President being in Baghdad as Iraq continues to be paralyzed politically. Furthermore, we are assessing the latest from the US Growth numbers that has seen growth slowing down which has given the Federal Reserve some pause. The Iraq visit is on the heels of the visit by the US Secretary of State earlier in the month. Reports out of Iraq note that progress seems to be made on the battle against Daesh. The past 24 hours has also seen another bombing in Turkey as the cease-fire in Syria continues to be on the edge of total collapse as the hospital in Aleppo was attacked. This is as Donald Trump also had a speech at the Center for the National Interest on his vision for the Foreign Policy of the United States for a Trump Presidency. Today’s Wall Street Journal Editorial deemed it to be an “incomplete” From Trump University.
