Snapchat Sound Preferences

I like how Snapchat makes some of it’s features optional. It’s kinda like a secret menu and once you find out a cool feature you’re naturally inclined to tell your friends (like filters). I was tapping through some snaps from a couple friends at Ultra and felt like the audio experience could be a bit better.

You’d have to do some sound magic for this one, but each snap is different and has different audio. Therefore each one can be optimized differently with an automatic equalizer. The most annoying experience when I’m using Snapchat is the popping sound when I click through snaps quickly. This could solve that. Just play a track on Spotify and you’ll hear the difference I’m talking about. The song starts at a low volume and increases ever so slightly.

The second is sound normalization. For those who don’t know what sound normalization is, it’s a function that keeps sound at a consistent volume so you don’t have to consistently turn up and down the volume based on the content. Anyways, check it out.
