I suspect the reactions will go the way they always do for redesigns.

Phase one: It’s new, and everyone hates it.

Phase two: People get used to it and the complaining dies down

Phase three: Years from now, you’ll change it again and all the people who hated it will demand to know why you’re getting rid of that beautiful old logo.
