Why I Became Intentionally Homeless in San Francisco
Kristin Hanes

This is not becoming homeless, it is becoming houseless. Living in a car, and at campgrounds is not homeless. Leaving housing by choice is not homeless. Getting rid of extra possessions is a choice you made.

Homeless is this. Being kicked awake by cops, having cops steal your stuff, having cops threaten to kidnap you, having cops tell you to leave while their hand is on their gun. Having NO money to improve your life. Having NO hope of a housing solution. Having to constantly replace stolen gear. Never having peace. Having people give you nasty looks or make nasty comments. That is homeless. If you want to really go homeless, I will be more than happy to show you the harsh realities, instead of your yuppy fakeness!
