So what’s your proof for “thousands”? You possibly just added up the attendance figures for all events? Much of that is traveling entourage. And attending does not equal agreeing, anyway.
The “gender criticals” are a tiny minority. They do not speak for women, they speak for themselves. They should take their legitimate place alongside other minorities and then I would support accommodation for them, especially since it’s largely the same as for a much larger minority, conservative Muslim women.
In my opinion, for a start, they should simply join the women’s establishments and women’s hours that these Muslim women have already won. And fight to keep these trans exclusive, with religion being the proportional reason required by EA 2010.
But leave Main Street alone. And go along with pronouns at work for politeness, not philosophy. Just like those who don’t believe in divorce or in same-sex marriage go along with those at work.
