What started off in secondary school as a desire to become a medical doctor ended up becoming an international business career taking me across the globe working on brand & reputation development, community investment, organisation productivity & transformation programmes and even crises. My work across the public and private sectors helped craft my world view on the transferability of skills — and my forays into the ‘third’ sector reinforced my belief that the leaders of tomorrow will be better prepared for the challenges of the 21st century by gaining experience across all sectors and finding a balance between IQ and EQ.
At the end of 2015, aged 39, I decided to take a career break and invest in my spiritual growth by mentoring, teaching, travelling, studying and humanitarian work. It is during this period of reflection and inflection that I had another epiphany — knowledge and wisdom can be transferred across generations, but the language and tools must be fit-for-purpose. The ‘how’ is what is currently being explored, thus ‘GENlinx — Generation Enabling Network & Linkages’ was born.
In my spare time I enjoy writing, theatre, gourmet cooking, latin dancing and practicing martial arts. Passionate about different cultures I am a champion of diversity and inclusivity and work tirelessly to bring cultural harmony to every aspect of my life. I speak four languages, am an alumnus of the Universities of Oxford and London and, never one to stop learning, am currently pursuing an MBA with Edinburgh Business School.
