Life lessons learned

It’s been 3 years since graduation from Hult International Business School. People often ask me about the master’s program, teachers, projects, campus, career opportunities after graduation… I don’t like answering to those questions; not because I believe the information is irrelevant, but because my answers are not going to give them what they need.
People want to know things to make decisions for themselves. We seek some level of certainty because it feels more safe to move and act. The truth is that my experience and beliefs don’t create yours. What I or any of you have achieved in life only indirectly comes from school, classes, books, job titles. It doesn’t come from some predefined, well-planned, beaten path with certain outcome, either. It comes directly from ACTION. From our own courage to take action without knowing where in the hell it’s taking us. From life chaos full of little failures and get ups.
The point is that we avoid making decisions if they don’t have a clear result attached. We feel safe in our little repetitive world, and yet our biggest successes happen on the other side of our fear. The highest heights become reality when we just do things, not because they hold a promise, but simply because they exist. If someone had told me that I would come that far, I would not have believed them. The only thing I knew by the time of the enrollment at Hult was my flight landing destination — San Francisco (although wouldn’t bet on that one, either). :)
So next time when in doubts where to next: “Go as far as you can see; and when you get there, you’ll be able to see further!”
