Tenochtitlan

  • 2 pts Milagro Silver tequila
  • 1 pt fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 parts oregano simple syrup*
  • 4 watermelon chunks

Garnish: Fresh oregano, pink pepper and coarse salt for the rim.

Glass: rocks

Muddle fruit in a Boston shaker, add remaining ingredients and ice. Shake and strain over fresh ice.

*Oregano simple syrup: Bring 1 cup water & 1 cup sugar to a simmer, to dissolve the sugar. Remove from heat, and add 2 or 3 oregano sprigs. Steep until cooled, discard sprigs. Keeps for a week in the refrigerator.
