Mile Unity Foundation (MUF) recently conducted an official meeting with the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) to discuss the benefits of blockchain technology and, specifically, the MILE stablecoin.

At the meeting, the CCOIC was represented by Deputy Secretary General Zhang Yi. On behalf of Mile Unity were Silk Road Ambassador Bolat Smagulov, Business Diplomat Maria Tarabanova and Zhibo Fan, an advisor at Mile Unity. Each of them were part of the G-Global delegation, led by its Head of Secretariat Serik Nugerbekov.

Mile Unity representatives discussed the aim of the MUF project and how it can help to educate the public on new technologies like blockchain, which could lead international trade to a new level of transparency and digitalization. Both sides also discussed the necessity for and benefits of the MILE stablecoin for cross-border trade.

The MILE stablecoin could be especially useful for the Digital Silk Road, a project that involves investments in many sectors from e-commerce and telecoms to the scientific community and the smart economy, as well as the development of e-commerce between China and Belt and Road Initiative countries (which include Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Yemen, etc.)

During the meeting with CCOIC Deputy Secretary General

“The Digital Silk Road concept is a must for stable, strong and modest development of international trade and economy growth of Silk Road countries,” said Nugerbekov during the meeting. This idea was supported by Smagulov, the Silk Road Ambassador at Mile Unity and founder of the International Association Global Silk Road.

Mile Unity representatives also discussed the role of blockchain and trade in the modern world with Cui Weihong, Executive Secretary General of the International Silk Road Academy of Sciences Kick-Off Committee, and Jane Jiang, Secretary-General at the China General Chamber of Commerce Economic Trade and Cultural Committee.

The meeting with CCOIC was held during MUF’s official trip to China, where representatives also held a meeting with Lu Jianzhong, Chairman of Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC).
