What about Portland? A lot of people have argued that Lillard is actually better than Kyrie since he’s taken a team to the playoffs as the alpha dog and Kyrie wants a fresh start. If you throw in Shumpert and, LeBron’s boy, Shabazz Napier, the trade works. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yb59nxlq
Lillard might be a better fit personality and basketball wise with LBJ since he’s clearly frustrated by not being able to get by the Warriors in the West and is a better spot up shooter, although the percentages are lower, I’d bet it was quality of looks that made the difference.
Kyrie gets his fresh start with a franchise very close to Nike and Cleveland gets to remain competitive for as long as LeBron stays. Blazers do it because the contracts expire sooner and hoop heads get their answer as to which Rookie of the Year is actually better.
