Time lapse is where a camera captures a series of images at a predetermined frame rate, most commonly used to show scenes that evolve gradually. For instance, this technique can be used to show the movement of the sunsets or clouds at a faster rate that would ever be witnessed in a natural environment. Sequences are becoming highly common in television programs like title sequences, nature programs, and news items.

A zeitraffer kamera (time lapse camera) enables subtle procedures that are generally impossible for the human eye to notice to be shown at substantially enhanced speeds, enabling the viewer to see an event that can possibly take days, weeks, months or even years in respect to seconds or minutes.

How to create time-lapse Footage

The procedure of recording footage is just in theory. Essentially, you get a place to shoot your desired scene from, fix a rate for the panoramakamera (panoramic camera) to record a frame per second/ minute/hour and allow the camera run for as long as it is required. Getting the method right can be difficult but just like anything, practice makes perfect. Other than a camera, there are some other vital tools necessary to make this possible.

Being designed for shooting in an action packed setting, these cameras are robust enough for almost any time-lapse project. Time-lapse can be a very long and extended process, and frequently a day’s work will create just a few seconds of footage. But when this method is used to its full effect, the results can be incredible. It is well worth the initial hard work of the trial and error phase, so you can get to a place where you can create excellent footage just like an ir kamera (ir camera). As hard as it is to get things right, this type of photography can be extremely rewarding art type.
