The number one question I get about essential oils is how to use them, and there are multiple ways. From a diffuser in your home or business, adding some into homemade cleaning products for an extra boost of freshness (and health!), using it as natural remedies when you’re feeling under the weather -you can find many creative ideas here!

Essential Oils for Daily Use

I love that the smell of oregano reminds me of Italian food. I also appreciate its natural antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties which make it perfect for everyday use in your home or office! It’s important to note though — like all plants/ Herbs — there are certain versions you should beware of when using them topically because they’re very potent without being diluted correctly (in times of bad illness). In those cases instead? diffuse some around lightly so everyone can enjoy this amazing aroma together as well :-)

Oregano essential oil is a great natural remedy for many different ailments. Recently I did my own stool test and it turns out that oregano’s anti-parasitic properties are really working! Most people have intestinal worms, but using this along with probiotic rich foods in ate has kept them away from me so far — thank goodness!!

Get your hands on some of this incredible Oregano Essential Oil before it’s too late!

I have used oregano essential oil effectively for:

  • Diluted topically for killing ringworm
  • Diluted on sore muscles to speed muscle recovery
  • Diluted to help remove warts
  • Massaged on feet to help deal with intestinal parasites
  • Getting rid of athlete’s foot (diluted with coconut oil)
  • Lemon Essential Oil

I love the smell of lemon and orange essential oils, so I add them to all my cleaning products. For a fresh scent without any harsh chemicals, just stick around!

Lemon has many health benefits, including being an effective antiseptic and disinfectant. I often use it in my DIY beauty products because the scent is energizing for you while also providing some evidence that this fruit can stimulate hair growth!

I add lemon and orange to my honey face wash or oil cleansing blend for use at night. Now that summer is coming up, we don’t want the sun’s harsh rays on us so it’s best not to use citrus essential oils while out in direct sunlight!

  • Peppermint Essential Oil

Peppermint is a perfect addition to my homemade lotion recipes, toothpaste, and vapor rub. The menthol smell is invigorating as well!

The use of peppermint for anything is a great idea! I’ve found that it helps with nausea and stomach upsets, as well as headaches. My mom used to put these on her feet when she was pregnant so they would be nice and cool during hot summer days — now we do too because our bodies feel better after eating some food (I think). We also added lavender flowers into their homemade bug spray which keeps the bugs away while giving you an enjoyable scent at night-time.

  • Lavender Essential Oil

I have always loved the smell of lavender. It’s such a relaxing, soothing scent that makes me feel at ease when I am in an anxious or stressed state. To help support this health benefit even more so than before and to provide you with some other amazing benefits too — check out my post on how to use essential oils for everything from headaches all the way up to nighttime Relaxation!

I’ve found that adding a drop of lavender and lemon to bug bites or burns can cool the sting while also calming my headache. I use it with peppermint both as an ingredient in many beauty products, but also on its own when feeling unwell — especially during summertime!
