You cannot receive what you don’t give. Outflow determines inflow — Eckhart Tolle A New Earth

In the classroom…

We want respect.

We want creativity.

We want authentic learning.

We want engagement.

We want productivity.

We want independence.

We want freedom.

We want leadership.

We want growth mindset.

We want ownership and accountability.

We want our students to feel loved.

So give respect.

So give creativity.

So give authentic learning.

So give engagement.

So give productivity.

So give independence.

So give freedom.

So give leadership.

So give growth mindset.

So give ownership and accountability.

So give students love.

Never assume your students know what any of these qualities look like. You may be the first adult to give them any of these things.

To give is to show.

If your students are solar lights, they will not thrive in a dark room. You need to first shine down on them to show them their power and potential.

Driving Q — what skill/strategy/quality is most lacking in your students? Can you trace this back to your own failure to express/model?
