Joseph Cosuth — One and Three Chairs

The image used in the title is Joseph Kosus’ one and three chairs. The three chairs that appear in this work are chairs, photographs of chairs, and chairs of dictionary definition.

Joseph Kosus, in this work, is asking what can be said to be a genuine chair through the three things people perceive, images, and language.

This article was not written to write a review on conceptual art. Just as conceptual art is first introduced, people start to fascinate with Joseph Kosus’ work “One and Three Chairs” because it is the most impressive art history that prompts the question “Can this be art?”

- What is art?

This question does not have a definite answer to the question whether an artist aspiring from the art beginner. It is doubtful that those who are trying to find the correct answer to the word ‘art’ that exist abstractly can find the end even after thinking and thinking to find the correct meaning. So, I will open up my subjective thoughts on this question from beginning to end.

Art can exist in any form. To be a little more detailed, the subject considers that everything that is done with will and meaning can be art. Even the act of creating and selling high school Khan yatan addressed the glasses put down to the museum acts as Ethan Klein is doing the work harness hat I consider it art. It is the same that a father of a high school student puts a picture frame on the door with his fist marks.

Everything became an art. The arts are no longer limited to the works of art museums, but can be easily found in daily life. But we are not easily conscious. What I consider to be art is what the subject thinks to be art. I did not name it explicitly, I tried to help a little understanding of the audience by organizing them in language.

“The present art begins with the existence of the consciousness of the subject and the viewer. It is not art that says that the subject is art, and that it is not art. Also, if the viewer thinks it is art, it is art and not if it is not. “

Someone thinks this is sophisticated. But if you think about it easily, it is a simple story. Imagine eating a gorgeous meal at an unnamed restaurant and saying “is it art?” So, whatever the owner of the restaurant thought about the food, the food is art. It can be said that your feelings are an art that brings happiness, satisfaction and richness. But the guest used it as an adjective of art, All that is needed to be an art is the consciousness to think of as art.

If one consciousness, not both, considers that something is art, I think that either side can exist as an art.

Art begins with consciousness.
