The world is changing and while women have extraordinary purchasing power, our needs are just not reflected in the tech marketplace. The old perspective that we buy for the household and have significant influence in large purchases still hold sway for advertisers. We are not seen as autonomous beings with desires and needs that go beyond simply mirroring back the needs of the men in our lives. That is the shift in thinking that needs to change on a social and global level.
