That article is flawed in many ways that I hope are obvious to other readers. I recommend that you peruse it again in comparison to this one, looking at the way the arguments are structured and the evidence used to support them.

Also consider: what end state does that author have in mind, as “correct?”

Or rather, how does she imagine things “should be?” Is that end state actually beneficial for promoting diversity? Would the behavior she is promoting actually move people towards that end state, or push us further away?

How about this article’s author? What is her experience living diversely? What is her desired end state? Do the things that she promotes actually sound harmful to diversity or minorities?

Do you realize she wouldn’t even exist if cultural appropriation by a man of colonial inappropriate power-dynamic background had not learned about China?
